The American Asthma and Allergy Foundation marked World Asthma Day by releasing its 2012 Asthma Capital rankings, a list of the 100 “most challenging places to live with asthma” in the United States. Memphis, TN has the dubious distinction of earning the top spot after being No. 3 last year.
Alkalol is a nasal wash, not an asthma product. So why are we highlighting this?
Simple.
Seasonal allergies and chronic sinusitis impact a disproportionately large percentage of asthmatics and greatly exacerbate asthma symptoms. In fact, studies have shown that treatment of seasonal allergies results in better control of asthma symptoms and a decrease in asthma attacks in response to various triggers, like pollen, dust, and other inhaled irritants.
Simply put: Effective treatment of nasal and sinus conditions can have a direct and positive impact on asthma symptoms.

Glad Chicago didn’t make the list!
…though it’s been a rough couple of weeks with the warm Spring.
