Sniffling and sneezing is never fun. Unfortunately it can be just the start of the misery for seasonal allergy sufferers.
High pollen counts cause a variety of unpleasant symptoms beyond nasal congestion, including sinus infections, post-nasal drip, and even migraine headaches and sleeplessness, holistic pharmacist Sherry Torkos told WCAU-TV in Philadelphia last week.
The good news, said Torkos, is there are plenty of natural remedies for these allergy symptoms. Torkos favors Alkalol as a healthy way to rinse away nasal congestion caused by allergies and sinusitis and said eating berries and yogurt can also be helpful because these foods contain probiotics and natural antihistamines to clear congestion.
